Photographic Submissions:
What Have You?
Your submissions are sought, encouraged, necessary to keep our efforts
afloat. But, before submitting your work to Eye Caramba, ask yourself these
questions:
- Are these compelling photographs?
- Am I a compelling person?
- Is this a cynical observation on today's state of affairs?
- Were these pictures made with a toy camera?
a pinhole camera?
- Any other innovative photographic process?
- Does kitsch tickle your brainstem?
- Do you use your arms when you dance?
Now, it still may not be clear whether or not you should reach out and
send me your best and most unusual photographs for publication here in
"Eye Caramba", but live a little. Life is short. And so am I, so I
need a rather large mission in life to compensate.
Photographic submissions will be accepted in...
- Print Format - 8x10 preferred but no larger than 11x14, with return
postage included. insurance to cover shipping of materials is the
responsibility of the artist.
- Digital Format (macintosh format)- saved to a floppy disk or zip disk,
photoshop documents preferred.
- E Mail - email is, of course, acceptable or you can also send a web
address, if you have one, but I find that I, like most of you, don't necessarily
go to every hidden corner of each website submitted. In other words, I would
rather receive a tight edit of a dozen pictures than directions to a site with
two or three hundred loosely related pictures.
Include return postage!! Or I will simply hand your photographs, discs
or whatever to the first person I see who is heading in your general direction.
"Eye Caramba" will not be responsible for loss or damage to any work
submitted for consideration or for publication. Though, of course,
every effort will be made to ensure proper handling during receipt,
reproduction and return of all photographic materials.
Any print donation of work to the soon to be highly esteemed Eye Caramba archives
will be greatly appreciated and could nicely take up another line on your
resume.
Prints and snail mail should be addressed to:
