John Johnston has more on the ball than most of us. A suitably vague compliment for an inscrutably sage individual. The portfolio that these images come from is long on meaning but slight on explanation. The artist, perhaps, is under some kind of domestic assault or maybe he is the architect of this house of shards. Can't tell really... but these images, for me at least, ring with a simple and fragile honesty without the burden of intellectual elaboration.
