For a quiet guy, Allen has drawn quite a bit of attention to
himself. Several magazines have featured his artwork, other artists have initiated various
collaborations and Minnesota Public Radio's "All Things Considered" produced a piece about the House
of Balls a while back. Still, despite these spells of higher
traffic and public attention, Allen remains a genuinely approachable
individual. And once you visit the House of Balls a few times you will realize that there
is plenty of provocative material still left to drive both the popular media and the private
iconoclast. He is one of the most prolific
artists I have ever come across.
